Digital cameras Home - Digital camerasPrinting from Digital Cameras

Did you always think that you need a computer to print photos from digital cameras? If yes, let me tell you that that's not always necessary. It's getting easier to print digital photos with or without computers. Here's how it is done:

  • There are a number of options-- PictBridge USB, memory card, Bluetooth, and camera dock--to connect your digital camera to the printer. You can decide which one you want to use.
    1. For digital cameras with USB ports, you can connect with PictBridge USB. Turn the printer and digital camera on and use a USB cable to connect the two.
    1. For Bluetooth connection, install the adapter and identify the printer using the Bluetooth device.
    1. Check if your camera has an in-built dock or if you have a docked camera. Use the PictBridge USB for docked camera. If it's in-built, then it gets connected automatically when docked.
    1. You will have to find out if your printer supports your memory card, if you decide to use one. If yes, insert the same into the printer from the camera.
  • Once you are done with the connection, select the picture or pictures you want to print.

  • Print your photo by either using the print button on the printer or by the Bluetooth device.

It is very important to choose the right media for printing. You must also ensure that you use the right paper and the right size for a proper print. You should also refer to the manual before you start the process. And if you are looking for enhancements, go to the advanced setting option to do that.
